
Ricardo Klatovsky

Ricardo Klatovsky leads IBM’s Energy and Utilities Sales Organization globally. He is a founding member of IBM´s Industry Academy. Worked as a consultant, manager and partner in PwC from 1989 until 2002. Joined IBM in 2002 and since then has had several roles: Account Partner, Communications Sector (Telco, Media and Energy & Utilities) Leader in the Mediterranean Region, and Vice-president for both Global Business Services (GBS) and Sales & Distribution (S&D) organizations in IBM Energy & Utilities Industry in Europe. In his current role as Global Sales Leader, he is responsible for IBM´s growth on all IBM E&U Industry Solutions (Power Generation Optimization, Customer Operations Transformation and Transmission and Distribution solutions), IBM Lines of Business and Long Term Services across all Geographies. Specialized in large scale transformational programmes, most of these programmes have been in the Energy & Utilities Industry, ranging from ABC/ABM, Reengineering, HR, Continuous Improvement, e-strategy, Intelligent Utility Networks (Smart Metering & Beyond and Mobile Workforce Management), Networks Management, Customer Operations Transformation and Innovation Discovery. The Trans-formation of the Meter to Cash process in the Island nation of Malta is an example of these pro-grammes. He is a member of IBM´s Global Smarter Planet strategy team, focusing on Smarter Energy and has been co-author of several IBM IBV white-papers for the Energy & Utilities Industry. He has filed a pa-tent for a “Meter anti-tamper system”. Klatovsky, an Austrian citizen, is a Mining Engineer and earned an MBA degree in the Instituto de Empresa in Madrid.
